Default assignee for component not working

I have this component with a default assignee:

I created a new issue with this component and "automatic" assignee..but the issue is assigned to me instead of the person configured for this component!?

Hi @Andreas Jung 

You need to select component lead instead of project standard under default assignee in components page

for some reason even after selecting the component lead as abc@xx.com ,still when the issue gets created , it gets assigned to def@xxx.com. 

Here def@xxx.com is no more active and i tried removing the user profile as well. Still it gets assigned to the same inactive user.

can someone help to resolve this issue?
