+ Create issue

Admin OKZT March 18, 2024

Hello,

in some projects we have + Create issue at the end of an epic. In others this option is missing and we can't figure out why.

All projects are company managed.

Ho do I add this option to the projects, where it is missing?

Best regards.

Hi @Admin OKZT

This could be permissions-related - i.e you don't have permission to create issues in those Projects the button is missing.

I also believe it's not there if the Board is a Scrum Board, as issues should be created in the Backlog, not the active Sprint.

Hello, we can all create issues but only if we use the Create Button on top. This is true for both projects. Create Button.JPG

Is one of them a Scrum Board?

No, all Kanban.

A few other things you can check:

  • Is the button visible if the workflows differ between issue types? Sometimes the button can disappear when the workflows differ (eg. different for Epic and Task).
  • Is there more than one Project in the boards' filters, when the button is not visible?
  • Do the transitions to Statuses without the button have any workflow conditions or validators? This might be hiding the button, based on my testing.

We found the solution, we just don't know why it worked.

We had to move "Backlog" to Kanban backlog like displayed in the image. We have no idea why that worked.

Hi @Admin OKZT

Lack of '+ Create issue' means that you don't have Create issue permission on one of projects that is displayed on board.
