Dear community,
I have an epic and under it, tasks (Issue Task). When creating the condition for the epic not to allow it to go to the "Done" status if there are open tasks under it, it doesn't work.
Is this because of the issue type? Should I use the "subtask" issue instead of Task? I attached an image of the condition.
Yes, it is because of issue type. If you have JMWE add on then you can use Linked Issues Status Condition for your use case.
Regards,
Ashish
What plugin is "JMWE", can you give me the full name to search for it?

Once you installed the Plugin, this is the configuration you need to do after selecting Linked Issues Status Condition

Hello Francisco Navarro,
I am Nacho and I am part of Decadis.
If it is possible for you to use a third party app, I would like to recommend you our app Jira Workflow Toolbox.
We have a specific use case for the required behavior, you can have a look at the following page: Block a transition if some issues under an epic are not in a certain status
This expression used in a condition / validator blocks the transition of an issue of Epic issue type if some of issues under it, differentiated by issue type, are not in a certain status.
If you need assistance on how to implement it, please feel free to create a ticket in our support portal and we will gladly assist you. We also provide support in Spanish if needed 🙂.
Best regards,
Nacho
