Hi,
I am trying to add internal notes/comments to my Jira ticket but every time I type a few characters, the text pointer would escape out of the comment box and I would have to click into it to resume typing.
I have tried restarting my laptop as well as clearing cache to no effect.
This was previously working, but after pressing the wrong combination of buttons which I suspect activated some keybind in Jira, it is no longer working.
Would anyone be able to provide some assistance or insight? Thanks.
There is a major service incident on Jira Software and Jira Work Management, check out this Jira Status page - https://jira-software.status.atlassian.com/
I suspect this is a bug. From what I can see a lot of users are currently experiencing this issue and so am I.

I have the same problem. After every keystroke, I lose focus on the input then I start triggering keyboard shortcuts.

As on today, i am also facing the same issue. The pointer blinks 5-6 times and then disappears and appears after 4-5 seconds. cannot see what is being typed. This is causing major issues when working on creating any tasks/defects on JIRA.

This issue says it's resolved and being monitored but I am still experiencing the same problem outlined in the outage notice --> https://jira-software.status.atlassian.com/
As soon as I type in the comments box, the command moves to a new field like "assignee" and starts changing words elsewhere.
The rest of my team are not experiencing this issue.
I am located in Australia.

Our team is facing the exact same problem. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that when shortcut keys are enabled, they are called as you type on the keyboard, and the same thing happens in Chrome/Edge/Firefox.
