Can we add icons to a custom field(list view) on JIRA instance set up on the cloud?

Our company JIRA instance is set on the cloud and I would like to add icons to a custom field I created the field is Severity and its on a list view. 

Any help on this is much appreciated.

No, select list fields don't support that.

Thanks for that Nic, would you happen to know any other way that I can get this done? What I want exactly is to create a Severity field and have the options of

• Critical
• High 
• Medium
• Low

in it, and if we can either add an icon with the text or add a background color to this it would be great.

Not with Cloud, that I know of.

You might be able to find/write a Connect add-on that can do it, but I'm not sure.
