I would like to bulk change all existing tickets in Jira and add new Team field (based on some JQLs) so I can update dashboards, but I do not have an option to change new Team field in that Bulk action. Is it going to be added soon?
I found out that I could not change it because in the query were also sub-tasks. Once I removed sub-tasks, I had a possibility to change Team field in bulk.

I was having the same issues as described above, could not Bulk update the TEAM field. I had to add the TEAM field to all screen schemes used in the project AND remove sub-tasks from my JQL. Once I applied these options, the TEAM field appeared in the Bulk Edit options. (Sub-task TEAM field will be updated from the parent issue that is changed)

I think the subtasks might have been the issue.
In the end what i did was i did a bulk update of adding a label and then setup an automation to update the team field when the label was updated.
Will note your suggestion for the next time

Can you share how you used automation to to update when the label is updated? The team fields I see in automation don't show the value of the teams to choose from that I am expecting.

Hi @Nina Andrić, @Maxwell Labi,
I'm not sure why the native Bulk edit flow wouldn't work for you - but if you're open to an alternative approach, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a range of advanced features, including the ability to bulk-edit any of your fields - including the team field - using copy/paste. This is how it looks in action:
This works within a JXL sheet, but also between JXL and pretty much any other tool, including Excel or Google Sheets. You can also use the team field across JXL's other advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes

Hi @Nina Andrić ,
If the "Team" field is added to the Projects Issue Type screens then the "Change Team" option will appear in the Bulk edit issue operation. Please verify once if the Team field is added to the required Issue Type screens.
