This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Completing a sprint

If I complete Sprint 3, and choose to move all incomplete issues to Sprint 4, why does the Sprint field for those issue now contain "Sprint 3, Sprint 4"?  And I can't change it back.  How can I stop it from doing this?  I only want it to say "Sprint 4".

Because you put it into sprint 3.

If you dropped it, then your numbers representing "we committed to doing this in sprint 3, but did not manage it" do not work.

So there's no option to change this behaviour?

No, because it's correct behaviour.  Dropping the point that you tried to do this in sprint 3 and did not make it would mean lying about what you're doing and making all your estimates uselessly wrong.
