We had many automations working recently and now they seem to have stopped working. Even when i try to go to the automation page to see whats happening the page is just blank.

If yes, Could you please try to disconnect the VPN if you have connected and try to login with other network..?
Is the same issue occuring in the Jira admin screen..?
I'm not running through a VPN, all the other pages seem fine.
I checked by another user on a different browser and OS and they also could not access the page.
I opened the audit log with dev tools open and i'm getting a lot of console errors. A few 404s and a few 409 errors.
The incognito page finally loaded. it seems like we reached our automation usage! (thats good to know)
Jira needs to fix this because i had no idea why these automations all stopped running. Very frustrating.

Yes, you have reached the automation usage limit.
In cloud you automation limit depends on your plan.
So please find the below same link for the solution and check your usage .
