Hi @Rajesh Pinku

For a question like this, please post an image of your complete automation rule, images of any relevant actions / conditions / branches, an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution, and explain what is not working as expected.  Those will provide context for the community to offer ideas.  Thanks!

Until we see those...

Company-managed projects use the "Story points" field and Team-managed projects use the "Story point estimate" field.  Perhaps you are referencing the incorrect field's smart value.

Also, how is your team using subtasks?

  • Often subtasks are "pieces" of work to build some valuable user story, and so they frequently do not have story points assigned
  • When a team wants to track time-based work for stories / subtasks, consider using the time tracking features rather than story points

Kind regards,
Bill

I am the admin of Jira and we are using company managed project .

I am using the inbuilt template and its not working

When the story point estimate for an issue is changed → sum up story point estimates in Parent

TEMPLATE
Its giving an error on Story Points field
and the parents story point field is not updating.
