Automatically create new issues on a schedule

Sutter Schumacher April 9, 2013

We have a user who wants to automatically create new issues on the xth of each month/quarter/year for his team on certain projects. Has anyone tried doing this in the OnDemand instance?

I see there's a plugin that allows you to automatically create issues based on a certain date, but unless I'm mistaken, that's only available for locally hosted set-ups.

Thanks, Bob. The JIRA Command Line Interface looks quite powerful. Ultimately, though I wonder if that's a bit overkill for what we need at the moment. We'll keep it in mind, though.

You can use your favorite job scheduler to run the createIssue action from the JIRA Command Line Interface
