Automatically change state to 'Pending' when custom field populated

I have a custom field "3rd party assignment" when this field is populated, how do i automatically set the ticket state to pending?

(Jira Cloud, Jira Service desk)

you can use addons for this.

As Example

if issue updated and cf "3rd party" != empty then Transition to ….

Hi @Anna Moran ,

You can achieve this by using a 3rd party Automation for Jira app. You need to add a rule to set the pending state. Please see the sample rule below screenshot for your reference.
