Establishing a connection with Jira using a coexisting Java Program

Hello all,

I wanted to know what API i would need to use to establish a connection to the java program i have. I have to pull information from jira such as, reports(jAMS) to the java program. Does anyone know what API or a guideline i can use to head to the right direction. Im currently stuck,

Did you read some Jira Cloud REST API documentation yet?

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/

It supports OAuth and Basic Authentication, and the REST API is documented properly 🙂
