This just popped into our Cloud board view this morning.

Old: Assignee dropdown

New: Assignee avatars with "+4" etc. to access additional people

I like the focus on visualizing your team, but our users often have a couple of problems:

1) Some people don't upload avatars or have fun avatars like a cat or a Lego

2) We have highly distributed teams where team members may have never met in person and have only seen people via video call

3) It's only showing 6 people before going to a dropdown, which is smaller than many teams.

Would be nice to toggle the feature or configure the number of avatars shown.  #3 actually reminds me (in a bad way) of the old Jira status "some buttons, some in a dropdown" UI which I'm glad is gone.

What do people think?

I've just made a Safari Extension that pops *all* avatars and quick filters to the top of the page, and they added this feature to their cloud, not to the full extend... :)

And that's how it looked: jira-board-hot-menu/screenshot.png
