Will there be changes coming to the Jira API documentation? I've run into an error when trying to create an Issue using the API:
"Field 'summary' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown."
It looks like it's been asked many times over the years. The solutions seem to also be different, ranging from the request didn't have all the necessary information to the permissions for a user were lacking. I take this as a sign that the errors could be much more specific. As a developer looking to quickly implement a convenience feature, I find Jira requires too steep of a learning curve that I don't always have time for. Not to mention I have to go looking for random id's in URL's by hovering over links in the user interface for issues and custom questions that I need to send along with the request. Jira is powerful but not friendly.
