👋 Hello Atlassian Community!
Feedback from customers like you has helped us shape and improve Jira Software. I wanted to take this opportunity to share an update on some common feedback we’ve heard from customers – and some of the areas we are focusing on to address it.
For few years we had been collecting feedback regarding the the boards view where customers had been mentioning that the boards on the company managed projects gets all squished and it becomes impossible to read an issue. Few eg.
As we can see the boards become completely unreadable and this was a big challenge for the teams as this disrupts the work.
After a few iterations we have finally rolled out a new update. In this we have decreased the width of the issue card to what we call as “minimum readable width”.
Why this:
We want to maintain the basic web readability standard of the issue cards so it can be read and consumed easily.
We want maximum number of columns to be seen on a single view. With this update upto 10 columns can seen on a single view on a normal 1920*1080 screen resolution.
Also, the horizontal scroll will not appear until the issue card has reached the “minimum readable width”. Once it does, there will be horizontal scroll to view other columns.

We believe that this would solve the above problems faced by the customers. We continue to work toward providing you with a quality experience. If you believe that the change impacts your operations critically, please drop a comment here or below. Our team will look into your concerns as soon as possible.
Cheers! 😀
