Why is the Timeline view showing links incorrectly?

I am trying to use the timeline view to manage the dependencies between my tasks, but it is missing some links, and showing other incorrectly.

For example, here's a link according to the timeline view:

And here's the detail of one of those tasks:

As you can see - the timeline view is showing the "relates to" link as a "blocks" link, and it isn't showing the 3 "blocked by" links.

As I understand it, the timeline should only show the blockers, and not the "relates to" (and it certainly shouldn't be misreporting a "relates to" as a "blocks".

I'm concerned that without being able to trust that the timeline is showing the dependencies accurately, I can't really use it as a tool to map out my workload!?

I think the links which were missing weren't showing because the tasks they linked to didn't have any dates, and weren't showing on the timeline at all.

That still doesn't explain why the "Relates To" link was showing as a blocker, though?
