Atlassian, come on. OK you are ending Jira Work Management just as I want to add more users to my system. But the process you have for this looks like it is half-baked.

I can't talk to anyone, I can't get relevant information about what the migration from Jira Work Management to Jira Software actually means. All your staff are hiding behind screens avoiding talking to anyone. It is a very poor user experience.

Hi @Marcus Webster and welcome to the Community!

Adding to John's input on the short term impact of the merge of Jira Work Management and Jira Software, let me share some important resources and highlights;

You have probably read this announcement post already. If not, it may be a good and concise starting point to catch up on what the merge means in terms of features. In short, it is very likely to turn out for the best, as it expands the capabilities of users across both product types, bringing together the best of both worlds.

Most importantly, the Jira Work Management licensing FAQ probably has an answer to all your questions or concerns. Take your time to read up on them, but just highlighting a few things that may resonate with what I read between the lines of your question:

That means that for now, nothing really changes about your current subscription. The impact on your current JWM subscription is as follows:

The actual migration towards the new, unified Jira will not start happening before early 2025, will take place automatically and you will informed in due time of when it comes and what your should do:

In the meantime, if you would still like to add additional users and need to upgrade your user tier because of that, you still can:

Hope this helps!

Hi Marcus - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Calm down Marcus haha - it's going to be okay.

It's a name change with very little impact on the current Jira Work Management product. There is no migration that is needed or will happen. Your current projects will show up as Business project - which, by the way, already do.

What SPECIFC problem do you have? Or what SPECIFIC questions do you have that us fellow end users can attempt to help answer for you?
