I'm trying to create a new issue type called Checkpoint and set it as a Sub-task (on the same level as "Sub-task"). However, I’m not seeing the option to categorize it as a sub-task when creating the new issue type. I only see it as a epic level and Task level object.

Essentially when I create a task and then I create a sub-task I want to be able to have the option to select Sub-task or Checkpoint. I can select sub-task now but I can't select Checkpoint.

Checkpoint seems to be on the same level as Task, under Epics. I don't see the option to change it to a sub-task. I am a admin in my organization and in the project in question.

Hi @Bryan_Singh and welcome to the Community!

I see from your screenshot that you are in a team managed project. This type of projects does not allow you to create multiple sub-task issue types. There is a feature request for this that you can track here: JSWCLOUD-20901 (though the most recent update does not suggest it might come soon).

If you need this, you can add multiple subtask issue types in company managed projects.

Hope this helps!
