We are using JIRA Software and JIRA Work Management in our company. I understand how to make a field required in the former, but I cannot figure out how to make Due Date a required field in Work Management. Any ideas?
Hi @Armin Guldalian ,
welcome to the Atlassian community!
Fields management is the same for both module JIRA Software and JIRA Work Management.
Probably your work management project is a team-managed one. In that case you need to make fields mandatory using the following approach https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/customize-an-issues-fields-in-team-managed-projects/
Hope this helps,
Fabio
Thank you for your help; when I hover over Due Date I get this message:

Hi @Armin Guldalian ,
Welcome to the community !!
if you are looking to make Due date a required field during a transition (example: Open --> In progress), then go to Project settings --> Workflow. Edit the required workflow and add Field Required validator to the transition and then publish the workflow.

Hi Rilwan, I had the same question, and I found your answer.
I applied it to my workflow (Company Managed) but it only works if you change the status during the Edit of the Issue.
If I move an issue from a column (Kanban) Unplanned to Planned, nothing happens.
Is it possible to make it trigger and open the way if we make the move?
