We are trying to create some Team Managed projects that will be used for different customers and instead of creating them all from scratch i was wondering if there is a way to do this via templates? This would also include pre-created tasks to be works - if thaty can be done
Hi Adam,
No, you can't really do that with Team-managed projects because you can't create them based on existing projects and all objects within the Team-managed project is completely unique to that project. You could create an Automation rule to at least create all of the pre-defined tasks when the project gets created though.
Thanks @John Funk , if we only want it to be for certain business porjects, would the condition need to be set to look for a certain project name to create one set of subtasks and then a different condition for another set?

Yes, that's probably the route to go.

Hi @Adam Taylor
If you are willing to use a third-party app you can use our Deep Clone for Jira to clone your template project as many times as you want after you have created it just once. Templating is a common use case for Deep Clone and with our Advanced Project Clone feature you can also clone team-managed projects.
