I use a Mac personal computer and windows at work. Are there any differences I should be aware of?

Depends on whether your Mac runs the browser differently.

The operating system you use for your client has no effect on how you use the client.  The client (browser) may work differently on different operating systems, but the service you are connecting to does not have anything in it that would get to the OS you are running your client on.  Atlassian services simply serve up standard compliant web pages.

all atlassian apps are Web Applications so there is no differences on usage if you are on Mac or Windows as operative system.
