How do you choose the right Team Management Plugin for Jira?

Hey everyone!

I'm curious about how you all go about choosing the perfect team management plugin for your organization. With so many options out there, it can be overwhelming to decide which one fits best. Do you usually start with a trial period to get a feel for the features and usability? Or do you prefer to book a live demo to see the tool in action and ask questions on the spot?

I'm also interested in any other strategies or tips you might have when evaluating these tools. Maybe there’s something specific you are looking for, like integration capabilities, user-friendly interfaces, or robust reporting features?

Hi @Joey - DevSamurai I believe a trial period would be the best option to test the plugin and determine if it meets the needs of your organization or team.

Hi @Joey - DevSamurai ,

  1. First we get the requirement from users.
  2. Based on requirement, I will make the keyword search in the marketplace.
  3. From the list of options I get, I go through each plugin and its functionalities in the Marketplace listing + Vendor plugin documentation.
  4. If I find it to be matching for the requirement, then install the trial, Test and show to the Requestor, explain about the costs. 
  5. Meantime will check the jira performance while using the app.
