removing a subtask as a child from a story

This is for team managed project.

I'm trying to remove the subtask as a child from the story, tried using delete epic link, editing to remove all links (child of and parent of, even tried deleting all links) but none of them work.

looking through all action i can't find any option to remove the linkage either

Hi Ryan,

You can't just remove the linkage - you have to either convert the sub-task to the next level up (Story, Task, etc.) or link it to a different parent.

Or delete the subtask but I rarely recommend this but it is an option.
