Visibility of dashboards

Alexander Fries June 8, 2022

I designed a couple of dashboards a, b, c, d, and two user groups A and B.

Group A should see all dashboards a, b, c, d in the list view.

Group B should only see dashboard b in the list view.

I am able to manage the access to the dashboards on group base, but all dashboards can be seen in the list view from everyone.

Hi @Alexander Fries ,

Welcome to the community.

In Jira cloud, you have two types of permission on dashboard.

  1. View permission (viewer)
  2.  Edit permission (Editors)

Please make sure viewer permission is enabled only for the respective group.

I did it and it works. Only the right groups can open the dashboards.

But in the view DASHBOARDS>VIEW ALL DASHBOARDS all are listed.

Hi @Alexander Fries ,

welcome to the Atlassian community!

You need to share your dashoard in view with all the desired groups. All the other users, not associated to these groupd,, should be not able to see those dashboards.

Please take a look to the following article in order to know how to share dashboards https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/create-and-edit-dashboards/

Hope this helps,

Fabio
