Story - field configuration - Sprint = None + 1

Question

Hello I've seen a few posts on the issue I currently have in Stories and bugs.  In the sprint value there are previous sprints listed but the story/bug was moved to a new sprint.  I am not able to clear the previous values.

Has anyone been able to resolve this?  After reading one article I moved the story to backlog and tried to clear it and no luck.

Sprint  Field None +1.  I have tried to highlight the field and delete with no success.  This does impact some of the reports we run for metrics, open items, completed with sprint and several other reports.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I see "None +1" in the Sprint field for issue in the backlog that were previously assigned to a sprint that has since been completed, and the issue I'm looking at was incomplete and returned to the Backlog. So, currently it is incomplete and not assigned to any sprint, but it was assigned to a sprint in the past and that sprint was completed.

You cannot add or remove issues from closed sprints. The sprint would have to be reopened in order for you to remove the issue. And if you removed the issue from a previously closed sprint that would change your sprint report for that sprint and your metrics.
