Hi,
We are planning to migrate Jira Software, Confluence and Bitbucket Server to cloud in a client. They have 100-150 users, 7 plugins and 5000 issues more or less.
Do you know how long it could take the migration, please?
Thanks a lot.
Hi @Sandra Carrillo ,
May I know how much GB attachment you have?
As per issues I can say it will take approx. 1 month for one application
If its more then it will take more time because we are importing attachment separately.
For confluence/bitbucket also it will take around 1 -2 month.
You can also raise ticket with Atlassian https://support.atlassian.com they also provide assistance for migration.
Perform this migration on UAT instance to confirm you will not face any issues during migration.
Pls Accept the answer if it helps
Thanks,
Sachin
Atlassian products migration from server to cloud can take anywhere between 3 months to 12 months. The timelines entirely depends on the size(users& data), integrations(external), 3rd party apps (cloud availability, feature parity, available migration paths, etc.) & user migration strategy.
You can always engage a Atlassian solution partner if you need more hands-on support. A solution partner caters to your organization’s specific migration needs, from planning guidance to running the full migration end-to-end. With a partner the timelines can narrow down to 3-6 months.
Kind Regards
Utkarsh

Thanks for your answer. For clarification, we are partners (a consulting company that is working in a client). The client hasn't integration with Jira SW and Confluence but Bitbucket is integrated with Openshift.
I don't know if this changes your answer about time.
Thanks a lot!

@Sandra Carrillo if migration to OpenShift is in question, the mentioned dataset does not look too big and you can anticipate pretty fast and smooth migration.
