Private Dashboard filters are not displayed even after adding the users to viewers list.

Edited

Hi team,

My team is unable to see the dashboard filters I have created, even though I have shared the link with them by adding them as viewers, I have also made the filter on the dashboard viewable too.

Nothing has worked so far and the dashboard is visible but the filters are not within the dashboard.

Can you help me please? Is this to do with the version of JIRA we are using?

Thanks in Advance!

Hi @Sana Saraff Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Please check the below possible causes which restricting users from getting access to the Dashboard

  • User have permission to view any/all JQL filters being used in the Dashboard (You already mention that they can but can you just share the filter link with them to confirm if they can view the it or not, if not what error they getting while accessing the filter)
  • Does the user have permission to view the dashboard. (As you mentioned they can able to view the Dashboard but not filters so this looks good but confirm again)
  • Does the user have permission to view issues within the projects that should be supplying data to the filters and/or dashboard. (Does the issues in that filter results are have any security level set which those users don't have access to it, check this as well)

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks

Ravina

@Sana SaraffAhh, So users are not able to access the filter so the dashboard as well, you need to check the filter permissions to give them access may be single user, group or project etc, make sure to click on add and later save to check the changes and re-verify it again to confirm permission changes are updated, sometime we not save it and cause this issue.

Thanks @Ravina _ I have re-applied the permissions(had to do it a few times) and now I can see its all working fine.
