I use Jira Software the first time. It is not easy ;-). Now my daily question. We want to create different Layouts for the issue types Epic/ story/ Sub-task-Task. Where can I do this? It seems so complicated and less intuitively.
It depends on what you are actually trying to do. There is a single source for layouts under project settings > layouts or when looking at an issue in the new view there is a “configure “ link to get you there. Now, layouts are associated with workflows and screens. If you define unique workflows by Issuetype then you can have unique screens and layouts. here is one possible article that might be useful - configure-field-layout-in-the-issue-view
