I work for a company that was recently spun off from another company. We are currently using Jira and Bitbucket (both cloud based) from the old company, but I want to migrate just the Jira boards and BitBucket repros that are part of the new company to a new org, without affecting the other boards and repros.
I found a document that talks about migrating the entire org to new homes, but I need to only move specific data, and I don't see how do accomplish this.
Is this something that can be done?
Thanks
Hello @Marc D Behr
Have you reviewed the Cloud to Cloud Migration Resources?
https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/cloud-to-cloud-migration/
And for Jira specifically this subsection:
https://support.atlassian.com/migration/docs/move-data-between-jira-cloud-sites/
For Bitbucket Cloud I have not tried this but I found this document that you may find helpful:
https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/transfer-repository-ownership/
And you will need to connect your new Jira Cloud site/product to your new Bitbucket Cloud workspace:
https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/connect-bitbucket-cloud-to-jira-software-cloud/
There may be impact to the original data if there are cross references to the data you are migrating.
