Managing Testing in Jira

Question

Is there a resource that is available to learn some ways we can incorporate test management in JIRA?  I created a new issue type but I am trying to learn the best ways for our teams to be able to utilize the test cases over and over, from functional testing all the way through to regression testing and UA testing during after deployment,  I have seen alot of plug in videos but I am wondering if there is documentation on JIRA specific products.  Also, interested in how the Test Suite is utilized in Align.  I see a lot of cool potential in Align but am unsure how it loops in to the daily work the teams do to deliver the product.  thanks!

Hi @Jayme Burkhalter , in reality native Jira is not great at managing testing. Whule you certainly can make it work (depending on your requirements) it isn't pretty IMO. Bottomline - if effectively tracking testing is really important then I recommend an addon. with that said, if an addon isn't an option then start with just creating unique issuetypes, workflows, and custom fields and give it a go. you can always introduce an addon later.
