Hi,
I have added a new label to some US but it is not showing under the project specific labels. I created the same label in the project specific label menu. If i click on the two labels however, I can see that the one that I created right in the US is named labels = XX. The one I created in the project specific label is named: project = ≤project name> AND cf() = XX.
How can I get the label = XX shown in the project specific labels overview so that I can see there how often the label is getting applied?
Many thanks and happy to provide some more infos if needed!
Hello @jules24
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? That information will show at the bottom of the navigation panel on the left when you are viewing the project.
Are you working with a Software, Service, or Work Management project?
When you say "project specific labels" do you mean that you created a custom Labels field that you use in only one project?
Can you provide some screen images to show us what you are seeing for the various actions you describe in your post, and what you mean by "project specific labels overview"?
Hi Trudy,
thank you for welcoming me to the community and for your questions :)
I am working in a company managed project and unfortunately I can't provide any screenshots due to the confidentiality.. :/
With project specific labels overview, I meant the menu bar on the left side where it says backlog, active sprints, issues etc. - the last one there says "project specific" so I guess it shows everything that was created exclusively in the project.
If I click on it, I can see for example how often a certain project specific label was used. But the label that I created is not showing up there.
I am quite new to everything in Jira so I suspect that the project specific label category does not recognise the label as one of theirs. Does that make sense? And how could I fix it?
Sorry for not being able to show any screenshots, hopefully this still helps!

Would you be able to show a screen image of the menu bar on the left side where it says "project specific" and black out confidential information? I have looked at the three types of Company Managed projects (Software, Service, and Work Management) in my Jira Cloud environment, and "project specific" is not an option. That makes me think it has been added to your system by the installation of a third party app.
If you are not familiar with the third party apps that are installed on your system, consult with your Jira Administrator to find out what they are and if the option does come from one.
If the option comes from a third party app we would need to know which one it is so that we can review the app's documentation.

Hi Trudy,
thank you for your answer, I actually managed to find the solution this morning and I can't believe it was that simple :D
The problem was that I was looking for a label under the project specific label section. Once I created a project specific label instead of a label, it showed up. So apparently these two are different.
Maybe it is helpful for someone who is also having troubles with these restricted company projects.
I appreciate the time you have spent trying to help me and wish you a nice weekend already :) All the best!
