Jira Automation - Issue creating subtasks

Question

I have set up a rule to create daily issues (Story) and then added a component to the rule to create sub tasks to issue, once it is created

But when this executes, i get the following error.

with no details about the error.

Also, the main story gets created, but the sub-tasks are not created

Please could you help

Welcome to the Atlasssian Community !

For creating a subtask under  a task you need to make a use of condition and branch in the automtion. See the usage of conditional branching and then create subtask under it. Here is the screen shot attached for your further reference.

You need to use a Branch to create Sub-tasks, and link them back to the Story created earlier in the rule.

For example...

* Trigger: Scheduled
* Action: Create issue* Project = DBA Task Tracking
* Issue type = Story

* Branch: Related issues* Type = Most recently created issue* Branch-Action: Create issue* Project = DBA Task Tracking
* Issue type = Sub-task
* Parent issue = Current issue

* Branch-Action: Create issue* Project = DBA Task Tracking
* Issue type = Sub-task
* Parent issue = Current issue

* ...etc
