I am unable to receive any emails from JIRA. I am actually trying to change the email for my admin account to my new email address, but it never sends the verification email (not even in Junk). Already tried multiple times. Even if I signup directly it wouldn't send the Signup email. Looks like an issue with JIRA mail systems.
Has anyone else come across this issue or know how to resolve this?
Thanks
Hi @Asim Shaikh
I did find a few bounced messages in the queue to your domain. I have removed all the blocked messages for your domain from our side, but I suspect this alone won't solve this problem. Instead I found this message:
accounts@[redacted].io | SP:USA:atlassian-mail-prd | 554: 554 5.1.1 ...@... Recipient address rejected: {hash} address: host mail-outgoing.relay-fef.svc.cluster.local[a.b.c.d] said: 554 5.1.1 ...@... Recipient address rejected: ... in virtual alias table (in reply to RCPT TO command) | 2020-10-04T15:53:53+00:00 |
This message appears to have been rejected by either your mail server or an intermediary. From searching that particular error message I came across this post https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/error-message-554-511-cannot-receive-emails/cdbd41ee-d815-433f-8513-db058652146a
Which seems to indicate that this could be caused by an incorrect DNS record on your domain. I would suggest reaching out to your network admin and/or mail admin to make sure that your domain has the correct DNS records for MX, TXT, CNAME, and SRV in the domain registrar.
I hope this helps.
Andy
Thanks Andy, I can actually receive email now without any further action from my end.

Dear Andy, I'm also facing this issue. Can you please explain further how this was resolved ?

@Margarita_Papadaki I see you already have an existing support case in https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/23/JST-919060 I recommend following up there as I can't see any suppressions on your account. I suspect our support team will want to investigate this further in your environment
