Is there a way to change status drop down to remove statuses that are unmapped?

If a team unmaps  statuses is there a way to have the drop down remove the  statuses not used from the drop down?

Is there a way to reorder the statuses in the drop down?

What do you recommend we do wihen someone picks a status that is unmapped? Is there a way to set up an alert?

Hi Sara, let me see if I understand your goal here. You are mentioning 'un-mapping' of statuses, by which I think you are referring your classic board, correct? Assuming so, if a user is working w/in the board then they can't drag an issue to a status that isn't mapped but they can still edit the issue and select the status in which case the issue will disappear from the board. 

If you don't want the status(es) then you should edit the workflow and remove them altogether. Otherwise they will be in the dropdown and can be selected.
