Is it possible for the Jira Cloud site admin to enable notifications to notify a user that the specification of an (Xray) Test/Pre-Condition has been changed?
I found in the Xray Server documentation that there is an option to do that by using the Test or Pre-Condition Updated event (see attached screenshot) which can be set for Jira Server.
Is it possible to do the same in the configuration for Jira Cloud and enable such notifications? I couldn't find the "Test or Pre-Condition Updated" event (or a similar one) in the Cloud documentation: https://docs.getxray.app/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=31621609
Help would be appreciated. Thank you :)
Hi @Matija Đurđek and welcome to the community,
Test management apps like Zephyr and Xray differ significant from server to cloud. However since Xray is using issue types for tests, you might be able to use workflows and custom events https://docs.getxray.app/display/XRAYCLOUD/Using+Jira+workflows+for+testing+purposes
Thank you for the reply :)
Unfortunately, I cannot find any information on how to set up notifications for test changes using the linked workflows options. It is only referring to lifecycles.
The only thing related both to workflows and notifications in the Cloud workflow documentation is the build-in option Send email notifications to Test Run assignees
But this option is only helpful for test run notifications. It won't send notifications for Xray test step changes in Jira Cloud issues.
