I want to be able to allow specific users and zendesk integration to open tasks only in a project.

Hello, I want to restrict the permission to open tasks in a project. Here I will only grant permission to certain user groups. We also use the Zendesk integration to open a task, which must be authorized. I tried to do this by adding user group validation to the create step in the workflow, but I cannot authorize Zendesk there. I tried to add automation with user-id, but it didn't work. I thought I'd add it to the user group again, but that didn't work either.
How to do this? Is there any other method? Can anyone help?

Welcome to the community.

Why just not set this in the permission scheme related to the project, make sure only the users you specify have the create permission.

Remove all other roles, that can be assigned in user and groups by project admins

Thank you for your answer. However I forgot to mention that this prevention I want to apply is only for one issue type. I guess, If I change the permission, they cannot create any task type.


i.e., All users can create story tasks. But only one group of people and the Zendesk integration can create bug tasks.

Hi @simay_guler 

What you want will not work, as the Zendesk integration uses the API to create its issues.

This way or option should then be provided in the app, you can just use this in  workflow.

But the developer would need to build this in.

So you could reach out to Zendesk and ask them.
