I have a user who was deactivated and later deleted on JIRA Cloud.
Now when I try and create a new user with the same email address they get a notification to 'Try a different account' and the email lists the deleted user as the owner of the email address.
Next I create the user with a personalized email address. Success. Then I 'Suggest Change' it to the generic email.
When the user tries to accept they get an error.
Is there anything I can do to free up the generic email?

Hi Lisa,
Maybe the Atlassian ID associated to the deleted user is still there. You can try to logging using the "deleted user" account to https://id.atlassian.com and go to Manage Profile-> Account Preferences-> Delete your account. If the account is deleted you should be able to reuse the email.
