How to drag (time) Tasks in Timeline?

Edited

Hey there 👋

How can I adjust start and end times of a task in the timeline?

image.png

As you can see, I can move and trim the Epic, but I can't trim the "length" of the tasks assigned to it.

The Docs state that "You can assign start and due dates by changing the length of the bar". But I simply can't change the lengths.

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks in advance and have an amazing day ☺

Cheers

Hi @Jan-Morris Blüthner

It appears you are using a Scrum board with your project and timeline.  And so the issues within a specific sprint are showing for that sprint's timeframe.  Changing the end date for an item in the sprint may not make sense for the timeline view...

With scrum, teams do not plan for an item like a story to finish over multiple sprints.  Instead they split down work so the stories can start, and complete, to delivery value in one sprint.

Kind regards,
Bill
