How to compare a value with lookupObjects

Hi,

I need to compare a value (eg. Mary) with a lookupObject using automation.

I tried to do many things, but didn't work.

       First value: {{lookupObjects.name}}

       Condition: equals

       Second value: Mary

I know, {{lookupObjects.name}} is Mary, because i put "Add value to the audit log", before "Advance compare condition" and show me "Mary".

Could you help, please.

Thanks

Hi @Sara Silva -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

For a question like this, please post images of your complete rule, including the details of the action/condition not working as expected, and of the audit log details showing the rule execution.  Those will provide context for the community to offer ideas.  Thanks!

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Bill Sheboy

Thank you for your words.

I don't understand, why the "issues did not match the condition".

Thank you,

Regards

Sara

Thanks for that information, and...

In your compare, I note that you have quotation marks around the smart value.  Please remove those and test again.

Otherwise the "second value" will not match as it does not have quotation marks around it.

Hi,

I already tried both solution and didn't work.

We have found another solution for our situation and we will not use the automation.

Thank you very much.

Regards

Sara
