How do I select the 'Initiative' Issue Type in Jira?

Ann Dunn February 1, 2022

My team is working on grouping a set of EPICS under an Initiative. We need data from the EPICS to roll up to this parent Issue Type - INITIATIVE. We cannot find this Issue type in JIRA. Does it exist? If not, how do we do this?

I've read through several topics on this, but none answers my question.

Thanks in Advance for your assistance.

Hi @Ann Dunn

You need to create the issue type and associate it with the project issue type scheme.

Now to group the epics under intiative, there is parent link field that needs to be added to the screen. Add it for initiative issue type and you should be able to add the epics under initiative

Let me know if you have any queries

Thanks,
