Hi!
I am dutch, so my english is a bit sloppy...
Okey, I've made my first Jira Project with my team.
We have:
Issues, and 'onderliggende issues' (subtasks)
I would like to sum the story points of the subtasks in the issues.
It simply won't work.
For the automation see the picture.
Rule is this
{{issue.onderliggende issues.Story points.sum}}
Hi @Klaas van der Hoeven , this is an often discussed topic in the community. In fact I found this post that I had seen earlier and I believe it does a good job of explaining things so I wanted to share it here - Summarizing-story-points-from-sub-tasks-in-parent-task . In this post Earl does a great job of explaining how Time estimation is summed natively. Then Sarvesh references the article on automation solution for summing the SP of sub-tasks - New-automation-smart-values-in-Jira-Cloud
please have a read of these posts and see if that gets you further towards your goal. Please don't hesitate to come back here with questions.
Hi,
I did exactly what was in the video. See below. But when I change the storypoints of the subtask, the parent task is not updated...
{{issue.subtaak.Story Points.sum}}
Can be the problem that I renamed subtask to subtaak (=dutch)
Thanks!
Klaas

This is the situation. 'Barista Bus' has 3 sub tasks. Each with 1, 2, and 3 storypoints.
However I don't see the 6 total storypoints in the parent issue.
What am I doning wrong :)
