How can I see estimation custom field on Epic?

Nina Andrić May 22, 2023

We are using the same project in Jira for multiple teams. Some are using relative estimations (in native Story points field) and some are using man-hours estimations in custom number field Original estimation. I managed to set that Original estimation as an estimation field for sprint, but how can I do that on an epic level, i.e. on the list of child issues? Currently I see the Story points only with no option to change it.

The most important is that I'll need one approach on some team epics and the other on other team epics, depending on the team and the board.

Can someone help me? Thanks!

Hello @Nina Andrić

If you are talking about customizing the display child issue information within the Child Issue section of an Epic, that is not currently possible.

I found a couple of change requests related to that.

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-23432

However, I don't believe that includes customizing based on board, as any given issue can appear in multiple boards.
