How can I disable archiving issues?

I am hoping to keep all of my issues on the project board. After 2 weeks my issues are archived but I need them to stay on the board, even in the done column. Does anyone know of a way to disable archive setting so there are no issues archived?

Hi @Morgan Beaupre -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Are you using a Scrum or a Kanban board?  I am gonna guess Kanban...

The things shown on the board are impacted by the filter and board settings, so you can check there first:

  • Select the ... at the right side of the board, and select Board Settings
  • Select General, and examine the filter to see if there are any timing limits, such as Resolved > -14d
  • Next, also on the General settings, check the setting for "Hide completed issues older than".  That can be set to show everything.

Best regards,

Bill

Hi Bill,

thank you for your reply! I'm not sure this is valid for Cloud either.

I have found this setting on a DC instance but at least in our Cloud setup with only site admin permissions, I'm unable to find any Board settings.  I'm facing the same issue and don't want the issues to be archived or hidden from the Board even if they are older than 14 day etc. My used Template is  Workmanagement - Project Management.

Thank you for your help!

Hi @Juale Mercan

That type of project does not have the board settings feature which may allow the time-on-the-board to be configurable.

Here is a suggestion to add board settings for that project type, which you may vote for / watch to see progress: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-78863

Kind regards,
Bill
