Fix Hierarchies in Advanced Roadmap

Deleted user January 12, 2021

When I first logged in and put in my Epic, stories and subtasks I was able to see them all roll up - but I was trying to add another issue type and since subtasks are not displaying. I then deleted the added issue and now I am left with the belowHierarchy questions.PNG

See below - it now seems all these issues are included in Epic and subtasks are separated and need them all to be visible on the roadmap and Rollup Subtask to Story, Bug to Epic - Story to Epic

Hi @[deleted] ,

in your upper screenshot, I can see the following hierarchy:

  • Epic Level
    • issuetypes Epic, Story, Bug
  • Story level
    • all normal issuetypes, but not Epic, Story or bug
  • Sub-Task level
    • all sub-tasks

So if you want to put Epic > Story > Sub-task in the hierarchy, you have 2 of those types on the same level, and you "miss" al level in the middle, thus it can't roll up correctly.

You should edit the hierarchy so that bug and story are no longer part of the "Epic level", and your hierarchy should be restored.

Let me know if this helped!
