Filter is not active when opening scrum board

Hi,
A year ago I created  an "exclude done" filter on one of my projects which basically filters out tickets that are in "Done" status. However when I open my Jira board with the filter selected, I still see tickets that are in Done status.
When deselecting the filter and selecting it again, the tickets in Done status are gone. 

This seems to be only happening on older projects. On my recent projects I do not experience this behavior. Does anyone what could be causing this?

Is this happening also on other browsers? Can you check if the behavior is the same?
