Facing issue in mapping issue type field in Bulk CSV upload through create issue>import option

Hi Team,

We are trying to do bulk upload in project using create issue > import option . We are not able to get issue type in mapping step . What could be the reason ??

As Issue type is out of box field so it is already available in all screen we have not added this manually in any of the screen configuration. 

Please suggest the solution of this problem.??

 

Note:

System> external csv import worked fine. But that option require jira admin role which we can not give to all.

When you create an issue manually in this project is the Issue Type field available on the Create Issue screen?

The Issue Type field needs to be available on the Create Issue screen in order for you to see it in the Field Mapping screen when using the Import option as a non-admin user.

Yes Issue type field is available on screen as a part of jira out of box functionality. If you ask me does it available in create screen scheme configuration then the answer is no...

So it's little weird when field available on screen and user can't map in bulk upload . But noticed if i add in any of the issue type scheme in the project, this field- issue type then it started showing to non admin user....Atlassian can investigate this :-)
