Dot menu is basically useless now

Dustin DeVries August 4, 2019

I don't understand the purpose of the dot menu anymore (the options that come up when you hit dot ".").

I used to be able to hit the dot key and type a task like close (to close an issue), assign, sprint, etc., but now it only brings up a window that shows Administration tasks (User Management, Application Access, Jira Software Configuration, etc.).

How can I change the sprint, change the status of a ticket (resolved to closed, as an example), etc. using the old dot menu?  Is there a configuration setting I need to set to get the old menu and functionality back?

Hi Dustin,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
It looks like you're running into an existing bug where the "." or "gg" does not work on the new issue view, you can find the details on the link below:
Please be sure to watch it, so that you are notified when this is fixed in a future release.

Regards,
Angélica
