Do not allow to create a particular issue type

Hi,

I would like to know what we can do to disallow a user to create a particular issue type

Is it possible?

Thanks!

Hi @Sandra Carrillo - The permission that grants issue creation (Create Issues) is project-wide based upon the assigned permission scheme.  As an alternative, you could do the following:

  • Remove the issue type from the project issue type scheme
  • Create a new project and issue type scheme for the locked down issue type
  • Set Create/Edit/View rights to the new project accordingly
  • Update your board filter to include the new project so that all issues appear together
