I have issues that are dependent on the completion of the previoues issue. If the previous issue is delayed past the due date, will the issue that is depdendent on it, automatically update. That is, its due date automaticaly update in light of the delay in the previous issue?
How have you established that one issue is dependent on another? Are you using a roadmapping tool that lets you establish that dependency?
If you are using a roadmap tool that supports creating such dependencies, then the answer depends on which roadmap tool you are using.
If you are not using such a roadmap tool, but instead are using the generic issue linking functionality to indicate that one issue is dependent on another, the answer is that Jira will not natively update dates based on that dependency link. You would have to implement a customization. It might be possible to implement that with an Automation rule, but more details would be needed on your exact requirements.
