Direct edits within text box has stopped saving...

UPDATE:  We have found the content does update, but the screen does not update when saving your changes, you have to refresh the complete page to get your updated content to show correctly.  So, Atlassian did something with their AJAX call when you save the changes, it does not refresh the pull to pull the save content.

About two weeks ago the system stopped saving direct edits on the ticket within a text box.  Before you click on the pencil icon, make the edit and click the 'Check' and it would save your edits.

Now, it just returns back to what was there, does not save the edit, some times it takes up to 3 times making the changes for it to save.

I have tried in Chrome and Firefox and both act the same way, so what changes has Atlassian made that would affect the direct editing without going into full 'Edit' mode on the ticket?
